#Jeopardy

o    The search for Alex Trebek’s replacement may be coming to an end.

o    According to Variety, executive producer Mike Richards is reportedly in “advanced negotiations” to host the show permanently.

o    They say Sony Pictures Television was impressed with Richards’ “easy on-air manner” after joining the show last year.

o    A source close to the situation cautioned that there’s no certainty that the sides will close a deal and that other candidates remain in the mix, although Richards is clearly the front-runner.

o    Trebek has been the face of Jeopardy for 35 years and 18,000 shows.

#Rihanna

o    She is now officially a billionaire.

o    The singer, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, launched cosmetics company Fenty Beauty in 2017 and it’s the reason she’s a fashion powerhouse.

o    Forbes today estimates she’s now worth one-point-seven billion dollars.

o    That makes her the richest female musician in the world and second only behind Oprah Winfrey as one of the richest female entertainers.

o    RiRi now owns 50-percent of Fenty Beauty, as well as a stake in lingerie company Savage x Fenty.

#TikTok

o    The app is trying something new!

o    It launched a small pilot test of TikTok Stories in various countries outside the U.S.

o    These would be similar to Snapchat and Instagram stories.

o    According to a company rep, they may not become a permanent feature after testing.

o    Last month, TikTok tripled the length of videos that people can share in a single post, from 60 seconds to three minutes.

#Ikea

o    They will be releasing a candle that smells like their Swedish meatballs.

o    The candle is called Huvudroll that smells like the delicacy that are available at many of the chain’s locations.

o    The candle is part of an Ikea Store in a Box package  aimed at recreating the sensory experience of visiting a store.

o    They will offer the package, meatball candle included, as part of a sweepstakes celebrating the 10th anniversary of its U.S. Family Program, a free loyalty program which gives participants special offers and rewards.

o    They didn’t specify what else is in the Store in a Box, other than saying it will contain some of the most recognizable piece of an Ikea store.

o    The Store in a Box sweepstakes kicks off Aug. 6 and runs through Aug. 22.
