#TheWeeknd

o    He just set a new record on the Billboard charts!

o    His song “Blinding Lights” has now spent 88 total weeks on the Hot 100 chart.

o    The song is #18 on the charts this week and that helps it set a new record for the most weeks spent on the chart in history!

o    He surpassed Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” this week.

#FieldOfDreams

o    Peacock is hoping that “If you build it, they will come…”

o    They have ordered a limited series based on the 1989 film starring Kevin Costner.

o    Reports are that the streaming service will be working with the film’s producer Michael Schur for the series.

o    The series will reimagine the mixture of family, baseball, Iowa and magic that makes the movie so enduring and beloved.

o    The announcement comes just days after MLB’s Field of Dreams game last week between the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox.

#Alcohol

o    Study: Moms with young kids drank nearly 323% more during the pandemic.

o    The study launched in 2020 to analyze the pandemic’s effects on American drinking habits and it found that overall, consumption was 39% higher in November 2020 than in the previous February.

o    More women disproportionately reported exceeded recommended drinking guidelines than men during that time (for women it’s no more than 3 drinks a day or seven drinks per week, for me it’s four drinks per day but no more than 14 drinks per week.)

o    And women with kids under 5 increased their consumption by 323%, likely using alcohol to cope with stress, depression and anxiety, according to the study

#MountainDew

o    Hard seltzer has been big…is hard soda next?

o    Pepsi has announced that they’ll start selling boozy Mountain Dew next year.

o    They’re partnering with the Boston Beer company, which owns Sam Adams and the hard seltzer brand Truly.

o    They’re calling it “Hard Mountain Dew,” and it’s 5% alcohol (so about the same as hard seltzer and beer.)

o    But unlike normal Mountain Dew, it won’t have any sugar and there’s no caffeine either.

o    There are three different flavors: original Mountain Dew, Watermelon, and Black Cherry.

o    They’ll hit stores early next year.
