Invasive meaning the potential to spread and cause harm, and in the case of breast cancer it can spread to the lymph nodes and other areas of the body. With more than 3.5 million American women having a history of breast cancer at the start of 2020, and estimated that more than 276, 000 new cases are expected to be diagnosed, early detection is extremely important.
The good news is when breast cancer is detected early in a localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%. Do regular self exams at home every month.
