Google, YouTube and several other major internet sites are reporting worldwide connection issues early Monday.

Google reported performance issues across nearly all of its platforms including GMail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs and more.

Users around the world reported error messages when trying to access the affected services, which also included productivity tools, smart home services like Nest and educational tools like Google Classroom.

TechCrunch reported similar outages were seen in countries around the world starting at roughly the same time.

There has been no official response from Google regarding the outage, or when services may return.

In an email to employees, obtained by the New York Times, Google has set September 2021 as it's target date for when workers will return to their offices, but they may not be there full time.

The company says it's testing the idea of employees working 3 days in-person and 2-days remote, per week. Google plans to offer new office designs and reservable desks for employees who need space away from home.
