The One Thing You Might Be Doing Wrong When Bringing Home A Pizza

Wicker and Wilde

We (Wicker and Wilde) just Looooooove pizza.  We have both been known to pick up a 'za on the way home from the Mix 98.1 studio.

Now, when taking a pizza home lot of bad things can happen to it—sliding cheese that ends up on one side of the box, misplaced toppings and spilled sauce. A literal hot mess! It seems that the angle of your car seat may be the culprit and The Kitchn has a simple solution—just use a soda bottle to prop up and even out the placement of the box by sticking it into the gap between the box and your seat.

It seems this ‘hack’ is already well known by pizza delivery drivers, one that we spoke to keeps a 2 X 4 in his car for the same result. Rebecca Wilde keeps her pizza on the floor for fear that grease will get on the seat, Now, Wicker does keep it on the seat so that he can eat a pizza when it's fresh and hot. So for a perfectly balanced pizza with the toppings where they are supposed to be keep something in your car to even out the box.
