15 Things Goodwill Doesn't Want You to Donate

Recently a Goodwill in Tucson had to evacuate after someone donated a novelty GRENADE. Thankfully, it wasn't real, and no one was ever in danger.

Now a list is going viral of other things Goodwill doesn't want, and it's surprising they even have to list some of these.  Here are a few items they wish we'd stop donating.

1. Broken stuff

2.  Wet stuff (???)

3.  Bowling balls

4.  Chemicals and paint

5.  Carpeting

6.  Water beds

7.  Hot tubs

8.  Construction materials

9.  Office cubicles

10.  Tires

11.  Built-in appliances, like dishwashers

12.  Propane tanks

13.  Oxygen tanks for scuba diving

14.  Encyclopedias

15.  Old newspapers

If you are only donating an item because you don't want to be the one to throw it out, put your big pants on and just put it in the trash. You only want to donate items that you know could be used by someone else and you're donating it merely because you don't use it anymore. Believe me, Goodwill will thank you.
