Bella is a very sweet girl who came to us recently from a southwestern Virginia shelter. Little is known about her past but she is believed to be only a year old and fully grown at only 23 pounds. She is a super nice dog who behaves well with people, but who is selective with her doggie buddies. We believe she is a good choice for most families who love young dogs and can offer a secure home.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
