Meet the precious gem that is Bessie! This gal has had a rough go of it. Her previous owner abandoned her outside of an apartment complex, and shortly thereafter was found by one of our ACO's petrified in a corner. When she arrived at the shelter, Bessie would burrow herself under the towels that line her kennel all day and not come out. After what happened to her, we certainly can't blame her. She has since become an office cat, and although she still likes to hide, she has finally begun to come out of her shell and blossom. Bessie is the sweetest soul who LOVES baby talk and belly rubs! You'll know you've won her over when she starts drooling. Because of her shy nature, Bessie would do best in a quiet and calm household.
