SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Braille is a precious puppy likely born around the first part of July, 2022. He was born, and will remain, blind. This precious puppy displays behavior consistent with having been part of a litter that had crowded him out of food. He is very sweet and loves people. His ophthalmologist feels best option for a great life is with an owner willing to learn and teach clicker training. Braille has already been neutered and microchipped and given all his vaccines. He will be best served in a home with a secure yard, without balconies, excessive stairs or other risks that a blind dog would need to navigate. We believe he will do great with people of all ages and with other animals!
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
