Brinkley is a very nice fellow who came to us from one of our NC shelter partners. This sweet boy was horribly matted on intake, but has been professionally groomed and is in great shape now! He is already neutered, microchipped, up to date with vaccines and has tested negative for heart worms. He is very quiet, clean and loving. We think he would be best suited to a quiet, predictable home with a still active retired family or someone who works from home. He appears to be housebroken. A home without small children and larger pets is required, and we are seeking a home with a private, fenced yard to provide him an extra layer of safety and security. Brinkley will make an excellent lap dog!
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
