SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Colden is a beautiful male fellow who can display some initial shyness in new situations but quickly acclimates. He was a stray who was never claimed so we know little about him or his history. We believe he would make a great companion to an active young person or couple without small children, and with a secure yard for exercise and play. He is very quiet, loving and typical of his breed. An experienced owner is preferred.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
