This Track Meet Has Gone To The Dogs

Wicker and Wilde can't stop watching this video! A track team at a high school in Utah has gone to the dogs, literally. 

The Logan High School team was in last place but they had a chance to catch up.  Runner Gracie Laney who took the baton from the runner before her, knew she had a real chance to take the race. 

Well if you know anything about a relay race, the runners carry a baton. And if you know anything about the batons, they could, to an untrained doggy eye….look like a stick. So when Gracie passed Holly the dog……Holly saw the baton, took off - tearing the leash out of the hands of her humans and decided she wanted to play and the crowd loved it!

She ran alongside and then passing the athletes until catching up with the leader. Holly's humans were embarrassed but are proud of her for winning the race. Okay, technically a human has to win, so Gracie placed first and she didn’t mind the interruption.
