Duke's Hot Tomato Summer is back and bigger than ever

Tomato season is back in a big way as Duke's Mayo heats things up for Hot Tomato Summer year two, celebrating tomato season through a weeklong event in partnership with Richmond restaurants, featuring unique seasonal pairings of tomatoes and mayo. The event will run from Monday, July 18th to Sunday, July 24th, featuring dishes from over 50 local restaurants, including Brenner Pass, Lunch & Supper, Grisette, Fuzzy Cactus, Southbound, and more.

Hot Tomato Summer first launched in Richmond last year as an effort to help restaurants bounce back from the pandemic, but after seeing the outpouring of support from Richmonders and Duke's fans alike, the brand has decided to bring it back in a much bigger way, concurrently launching in Greenville, S.C.

In honor of the event and to raise awareness of Richmond's food divide, Duke's and Sauer Brands will each be donating $5,000 to help support Shalom Farms. Shalom Farms is a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that everyone has equitable access to nourishing food and meaningful opportunities to grow, choose, cook and enjoy fresh produce.
