Tween Becomes First to do THIS in a Wheelchair

Feel Good on the :50's
Wicker and Wilde

We are encouraged and told that we can do whatever we set our minds to and for one young man that is definitely true.

12-year-old Benjamin Sleet who is from Britain was born with spina bifida and has been in a wheelchair his entire life.  He’s a kid who loves motor cross and extreme sports and when he was younger a friend took him to a skateboard jam event.  This is an event where you don’t just watch other people doing sports, you can participate and Benjamin was introduced to wheelchair motor cross!  I didn’t know this was even a thing but it was invented by a man in Vegas and people in wheelchairs do skateboarding and BMX events except in wheel chairs.

He got a hold of a specialized skate chair and started practicing back flips into a foam pit. Fast forward – Benjamin was at a skate park and decided what the heck and decided to “give it a go” and do a real flip, no foam padding and he did it! He’s the youngest Brit and Benjamin has become the first male in UK to perform a backflip in a wheelchair

Aaron Fotheringham is considered the Godfather of extreme wheel chair sports says its important kids know they can do it.

By the way this is an international sport and Benjamin is now looking for sponsors so he can go to the next level.

The joy on Benjamin's face says it all.
