Epic Games is paying $520 million after the FTC said the company was liable in the cases of parents whose kids bought virtual gear in the game without the adults’ knowledge.
$245 million of that total will be paid in customer refunds, and consumers have until January 17th to submit a claim by emailing email@example.com, calling 1-833-915-0880, or visiting the special FTC website set up to handle refunds.
