Ellison is an adorable 7 year old and he’s got the personality of a class clown. But Ellison has down syndrome and a heart defect which sometimes makes it hard for him to do things that are easy for others like getting a haircut. Ellison’s mom, Julie says she and her husband used to do rock, paper, scissors when it came time to take Ellison to a barber shop because they knew what they were in for…..Ellison would freak out, a hair cut would take forever and they felt on display
But that was before they found “Gifted”, started by Vernon Jackson in Cincinnatie, who had already wanted to donate haircuts to kids with disabilities…..a couple of parents came into his shop with children who needed more accommodations but weren’t getting it…….
Vernon started the Gifted Event which is where he met Ellison and his mom, who’s video has gone viral because of the way Vernon treated Ellison.
