Ginger is a very happy girl who loves to run and play! She is believed to be about 2-3 years old. She has been a delight to serve and we believe she would make a great pet to most homes, but we do not recommend a home with children as she can get nippy at the vet's office or when she feels threatened. We feel an experienced owner that confidently handles dogs will make her feel secure, and will derive so much pleasure having her. An active adopter is preferred as Ginger's favorite pastime is running zoomies! Ginger is spayed, microchipped, up to date with vaccines and has been tested for heart worms. She will likely do well with other dogs her size.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
