Wicker & Wilde have been sharing the need for blood in their feature 3 Things You Need to Know. The American Red Cross say they’re dealing with the worst blood shortage in over a decade and that donations are down 10% since March 2020. And Krispy Kreme has a sweet way to pitch in and help.
This week, the doughnut chain will give away a dozen original glazed doughnuts to folks that donate blood to the American Red Cross. January is National Blood Donor Month and anyone who’s willing to roll up a sleeve during the last week of it will get those free doughnuts.
Here’s how it works:
Give blood anytime between January 24th and January 31st, then head to your local Krispy Kreme. Show proof of your donation and date with your donor band or sticker or flash your donor app. People who donate to other blood donation organizations will also qualify for the freebies.
