Lucky Strike - Richmond Animal Care & Control

kat simons

Lucky Strike arrived in our care after being found wandering in the Gilpin Court area. When Lucky was found, he was found roaming with another dog. When he arrived, he was extremely underweight, scared and very hand shy. With a little bit of TLC from RACC staff and volunteers, this guy is getting some meat on his bones and gaining his confidence back! He now readily seeks attention and affection and absolutely loves being near his favorite people. When on walks, he often likes to take little breaks just so he can give you kisses! In his short time here, Lucky has met other dogs and usually greets them nicely, then goes on his way. However, he was recently introduced to a young, playful female dog and his inner puppy came out! If you're interested in Lucky and have a resident canine at home, we'd love for you to bring them in so we can see how they get along. As he didn't receive the best care in his previous environment, Lucky is heartworm positive, but please don't let this deter you! RACC will cover the cost of his entire heartworm treatment. We simply want Lucky to have a new, fresh start at the good life he truly deserves. Lucky just wants to to love and be loved!
