SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Petunia is a very sweet pup who loves to play and be with her people. She is young and has had no training, so will jump on you for affection, toys and treats. She is quiet and clean and wants to be right by your side. She will make a wonderful dog for a family without young children that has a secure yard for her to play in. Petunia is in good health and has just completed puppy vaccines. She is both spayed and microchipped.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
