It's about time that the truth has come out. Wicker and Wilde are excited to share with you that finally scientists spoke up in defense of something that's been unfairly maligned for so many years.
The latest word is . . . cheese is NOT BAD for you after all.
There have been several recent major studies that found cheese got an unfair rap because of the misguided anti-fat guidelines in the '80s and '90s. We blame Richard Simmons.....kidding!
We now know that what REALLY makes you gain weight are things like refined grains, potatoes, and processed meats . . . cheese, on the other hand, didn't cause people to gain weight, and sometimes it even helped people LOSE fat.
The dean of the Tufts School of Nutrition Science in Massachusett says, "There's almost no evidence cheese causes weight gain, and in fact, there's evidence that it's neutral at worst. All we can say is "YAY!"
And Wicker is even more excited since his son, Jackson is Type 1, that even for diabetes...."it's at worst neutral, and maybe protective." Now let's go get some cheese!
