Ryder is a shy, gentle dog that is a joy to be around! He is just over 55 pounds and at a healthy weight. Not only is Ryder a great looking dog, he is super sweet. Ryder is learning good leash manners and is eager to please. He is quiet and reserved around people and other dogs. Ryder is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with Ryder. A home with a fenced, secure yard will give him room to run and play securely.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
