SIMON is available for limited adoption. His young age and small size makes him a very vulnerable puppy. We will ONLY ADOPT TO HOMES THAT FULLY MATCH OUR REQUIREMENTS LISTED BELOW.
1. Homes without children or homes with older children, preferably teenagers or older. These wee ones are too small to be carried around by youngsters.
2. Homes without other animals or with animals no more than twice the pup's size, which is currently about 4 pounds. We will not consider homes with reptiles as they are known to carry salmonella. No exceptions.
3. Homes with the adult adopter at home most of each day. We are seeking an adopter who works from home, or works the majority of their day from home, is a homemaker, or young retirees. We will not place our young pups with senior adopters. It is important to us that these pups be in a home with adopters who can independently care for their for the lifetimes.
4. Homes with private, securely fenced yards where adopters can supervise safe play and exercise away from other animals and people. No apartment or community living will be considered.
5. Homes with adopters who can provide evidence of past responsible pet ownership, and extra consideration will be given to those who have raised puppies. We will require a veterinary reference showing your PAST care.
At CARE Rescue, the dogs we serve are our clients. Our responsibility is to find the very best placement for them. Because of the overwhelming response we expect on these pups, we will not be able to interact with anyone who does not match these requirements.
