Sir Elton - Richmond Animal League

From Elton's foster mom: We decided to foster this sweet old man (approximately 8 years old) and keep him out of the stressful shelter environment while we help him find his furever home. It's tough to see any animal end up in a shelter, but it's especially hard on the seniors so I definitely have a soft spot for them. Elton immediately stole my heart when he came in and once he was cleared medically, I decided to bring him home. At first, it was only for a sleepover, but once I saw how perfect and sweet & well behaved he was, and how accepting my dog was of his presence, I figured he could just stay here until his people come along.  It's been a little less than a week with him in our home but I can say he is perfect. And I don't use that word lightly. He is completely housebroken, crate trained, rides great in the car (LOVES to hang his head out the window and let the breeze flap through his big ole lips), walks great on leash, sleeps through the night, and loves everyone he meets. He has the sweetest Awoooo and will let you know when he needs to go outside, have a snack, or needs attention. He's a stage 5 clinger and just wants to be by your side and get all the butt skritches you are willing to give. I really can't say enough good things about this boy. I just want to help him find a loving home where he can live out his golden years in peace & comfort.
