Spaceman Spiff arrived to RACC in March after a call to Animal Control reported a cat as being abandoned at the Broad Rock Sports Park bathrooms. Sure enough, when one of our officers arrived, Spaceman was found abandoned in a cat playpen with food, water and a litter box inside. Other than this, we know nothing of Spaceman's previous life. Spaceman is not a "first cat" kind of cat, as he is a sensitive guy who overstimulates easily. He would mostly benefit from an adult (no kids!), cat-savvy home. Spaceman is an extremely large (think "house tiger"), active boy who loves to play with toys (wand toys are his favorite), scratch on vertical scratchers and roll in catnip. The shelter environment is tough for a guy like him, so we are hoping we can find him the right home soon! Spaceman does not enjoy the company of other cats, but has shown he might be able to coexist with a cat-savvy dog.
