What happened to the good ole’ crying-laughing emoji – or “face with tears of joy” – as it’s officially named? You know, this one 😂.
It was Oxford Dictionary’s “Word of the Year" for best reflecting the “ethos, mood, and preoccupations” of 2015. Less than ten years later though, it’s a sign you’re not cool, current, hip, or “in the know” anymore. 🤦♀️
