The Richmond SPCA Dog Kissing Booth is back!

What: Richmond SPCA Dog Kissing Booth

When: Wednesday, February 9, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond

How: This bring-your-own dog event returns with Moyer Photography. For a suggested $10 donation to the Richmond SPCA visitors can pose in the Dog Kissing Booth with their furry Valentines. Souvenir snapshots and digital files will be provided.

Donations using cash, credit cards and checks will be accepted at the kissing booth. Please note that the kissing booth will be held outside in the Richmond SPCA’s front parking lot and recommended CDC guidelines related to COVID-19 will be followed.

Coffee, hot chocolate and treats will be available for sale from Espresso A Go Go Catering.

Why: This event is a fundraiser for the mission of the Richmond SPCA, a private nonprofit that cares for about 4,000 homeless dogs and cats each year and provides lifesaving programs and services, including operating the Commonwealth’s only full-service, low-cost veterinary hospital.

Smoochies Poochies adoption special

The Richmond SPCA is also reducing the adoption fees of adult pets (applies to dogs and cats ages 6 months and older) who have been in the shelter for 60 days or longer. The “Smoochies Poochies” adoption special will run from February 9 through 28 with a 50% discount on the adoption fees for qualifying pets.
