This holiday weekend is going to be a big one for travel. The Department of Transportation sent an email to the airlines asking them to outline what will happen (for you/to your travel plans) should a flight get delayed or (eek!) cancelled. Wicker and Wilde know you want answers so we thought we'd share the links and info with you.
Many of us have experienced a ridiculous amount of flight delays and cancellations. When that happens airlines are required to help us, but all too often we get confused about what we are or are not guaranteed including meals or hotel accommodations when we get stuck overnight after flights are delayed or canceled because of the carrier. To make sure the public has easy access to this information, Secretary Pete Buttigieg got most of the airline CEOs to comply after he sent the email! Welcome to the U.S. Department of Transportation new airline customer service dashboard. There is even a downloadable PDF to help you out.
Know what you need to know and have a fun (albeit safe) holiday weekend! Thank you for listening and for being part of the Wicker and Wilde family.
