It may be looking cloudy tonight, but Wicker & Wilde will still try to either stay up late or get up extra early for the Worm "Blood" Moon which includes a lunar eclipse!
It's called a "Worm" moon, most-likely, due to the fact that spring is around the corner, bringing up all the earthworms in our yards and gardens. And it's called a "Blood" moon for how it will appear in color. This will be the first total lunar eclipse since 2022, and it will the only one visible from the U.S. this year, so it may be worth getting the kids up to see it. Then the whole family can go back to bed and we suggest taking the whole Friday off - work and school! lol

A Lunar Eclipse means that the Sun, Moon, and Earth will all line up and the Earth comes in between the Moon and Sun creating an amazing effect.
Everyone is getting in on the action, too. Even the astrologists are sharing how the eclipse will affect your zodiac sign.
And unlike a solar eclipse, you don't need for special glasses. Any one else starting to sing "Total (Lunar) Eclipse of the Heart" in their head?
According to the Farmers Almanac, The penumbra phase, or initial shading, of the eclipse starts at 11:57 pm with the partial eclipse starting at 1:09am on Friday morning. The moon will appear the dark red that gives it its "Blood Moon" nickname, happens around 2:26am. The eclipse is supposed to be visible from all of North America but we are looking at some clouds in Richmond and its surrounding areas. Regardless, still might be worth a look.
