Wicker & Wilde put our noggins together to come up with (more than) 5 things to look forward to in March . . .
1. March 20th is the first day of spring! Starting on the 13th, Daylight Saving Time brings us the beginning of longer days, and we'll have more sunshine.
2. March Madness is two weeks away. It starts March 15th and runs through the end of the month. The championship game is set for April 4th.
3. If awards season is your thing, you're in it: The Directors Guild, Writers Guild, BAFTA's and Critics Choice Awards are all this month. Then the Oscars are on March 27th.
4. If you're hurting for new stuff to watch: Season six of "Outlander" starts this Sunday . . . "The Masked Singer" returns March 9th . . . and season two of "Bridgerton" hits Netflix March 25th. There are also a few big movies out this month, but the biggest is "The Batman", which opens wide this Friday.
5. And finally, the holidays! Today is Mardi Gras . . . tomorrow is Ash Wednesday . . . and we've got St. Patrick's Day on the 17th. Those are the big ones, but we've also got some lesser-known holidays coming up . . .
Next Monday is National Cereal Day . . . Ranch Dressing Day is next Thursday . . . Pi Day is March 14th . . . Crunchy Taco Day is the 21st . . . National Puppy Day is the 23rd . . . and March 25th is International Waffle Day.
Runner up March events include the French Film Festival and the Theme Parks are going to be open any day now!
