The affable man-mountain always slips humor and self-effacement into his posts.
Johnson shared a new video on Sunday explaining that he might have to get into a fight with a big hawk so he can get to the gym.
No, this is not the opening scene of a new Rock blockbuster.
First we see a hawk noshing on a snake on The Rock's back porch deck, as Johnson sets up the scene.
He explains how the hawk started eating the snake at its head — “Always a good idea,” he joked.

He then continued to call it beautiful, and generally had a respectful stance toward the creature.
But, as The Rock says, “Here’s the problem.”
You see, Johnson is almost done with his next epic for Marvel, “Black Adam.” And he’s gotta be bigger and more buff than ever for this one.
The rock pans to the path he must pass to get to his car and the all-important gym, and he’s pretty sure making a run for it is a bad idea. But he is the Rock, so you know he’ll make that break to the car.

As he dramatically states, “It’s either my workout, or his snake.”
But from the sound of his questioning tone, for once, The Rock might lose this battle.
“If y’all don’t hear from me in a few hours,” said DJ, “you’ll know I got my a— kicked by a hawk.”
