So on Wednesday evening, the Jonas Brothers posted a letter to social media that gave some fans a momentary sense of panic, but it actually turned out to be some very exciting news.

“To Our Incredible Fans,” the note began. “As a family, we have been reflecting a lot lately… It’s been 20 years since we started this journey together. To us, it feels like just yesterday we were loading up our family mini-van with a couple of guitars and copies of It's About Time CDs, en route to an afternoon performance at a local mall to play for anyone who would listen," referencing their debut album, released in August 2006.
“We were chasing our dream to play music and connect with others in a deep way that only music can provide. We were teenagers then... actually, Nick wasn't even old enough to get into a PG-13 movie,” the JoBros’ lengthy letter went on.
"In the years that followed, you've given us a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories. We wake up each day filled with gratitude that you've been on this 20-year journey with us. Together, we have celebrated wins, made mistakes, overcome obstacles and grieved losses. Put simply: we've all grown up together," Nick, Joe and Kevin added.
With the band’s previous breakup in 2013 still a sore subject for many, even after they reunited the band in 2019, the fan addressed letter’s first few lines were enough to evoke internet-wide fears that the band was once again calling it quits. As clearly reflected in the comments section, “guys not the jumpscare,” one fan wrote, “it was giving break up letter… nearly gave me a heart attack…," added another. “STOP I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE ANOTHER BREAKUP,” a third wrote.
However, as we mentioned before, there was nothing to worry about. And in addition to the plethora of panicked comments, there were just as many joy-filled ones about all the amazing JoBros things headed our way.
Speaking of…
“It’s seemingly impossible to put our appreciation into words,” the trio’s letter continued. “None of this would have been possible without you. You’ve shown up for us. Rooted for us. Encouraged us. And inspired us.”
"We've made memories with you at shows, bumped into you on the street, run into you at airports and read your amazing stories on socials. We treasure our connection with you as much today as we did when we played our first show," the message continued, adding that they'd be "celebrating this wild 20-year journey by doing what we love, and we can't wait to share it with you.”
“2025 will be a year of music" the post went on to announce, listing off their forthcoming project, “New Jonas Brothers music. Solo music. A live concert album. And a soundtrack. Nick returns to Broadway this spring for The Last Five Years. And we are nearly wrapped on our holiday movie that we can't wait for you to see this fall.”
"Expect a lot more announcements over the coming days and weeks,” the brothers noted, which checks since the homepage of their band’s website currently displays a countdown clock that alludes to an announcement arriving as quickly as Valentine’s Day, February 14.
“From the bottom of our hearts: thank you! Here's to the next 20 years, and here's to doing it together. The best is yet to come. Love, Kevin, Joe, and Nick," the brothers concluded, captioning the post with a red heart emoji.
