"I wish I'd had more children, but I wasn't given that choice," Kidman said in a Marie Claire Australia cover story. "I would've loved 10 kids.”
The mother of four shares daughters Sunday Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 10, with husband Keith Urban. She is also mom to her two adult children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, son Connor, 26, and daughter Bella, 28.
In a 2018 Tatler article, Kidman discussed suffering miscarriages in her 20s.
"There’s a huge, aching yearning. I know the yearning," she told the magazine. "And the loss! The loss of a miscarriage is not talked about enough."

Despite not expanding her brood further, the Oscar winner is grateful for the children she does have in her life.
"But that's okay because I get to mother other children,” she told Marie Claire. “I have six nieces and nephews and I'm godmother to 12. I love mothering, I love kids: They're quirky, funny and unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way."
Kidman’s happiness includes meeting Urban more than 15 years ago, which she considers to be “an absolute miracle.”
"Two Aussies born in the same year, but living in different worlds and cities, how did that happen?" she added. "It was meant to be."
The pair have been married since 2006.
Professionally, the actress is also enjoying a string of successes.
Following critically-acclaimed television performances in “Big Little Lies” and “The Undoing,” Kidman is currently headlining the Hulu series “Nine Perfect Strangers.”
She’s also taking on the role of TV legend Lucille Ball in the upcoming theatrical biopic “Being the Ricardos.”
"I’m shocked and astounded,” she said of her recent career highs, “but also incredibly proud and grateful because I know what it means to get here."
