Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks are marriage goals!
The adorable couple celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary over the weekend and Wilson posted a sweet Instagram photo marking three decades of love with Hanks.
"33 years of marriage to my BFF, my lover, my man," the actress and singer captioned while posting a picture of the couple posing together outdoors.
Hanks and Wilson got married on April 30, 1988 and share two sons together, Chet, 30, and Truman, 25. The author also has two other children, Colin, 43, and daughter Elizabeth Ann, 38, from a previous relationship.
While the couple posts about the happy times in their life, they also share personal details about the tough times.
In March, Wilson, who tested positive for COVID-19 alongside husband Tom Hanks in 2020, reflected on the alarming diagnosis.
The 64-year-old actress shared details about her experience being one of the first celebrity couples to contract coronavirus while abroad in Australia for the pre-production of Hanks’ Elvis Presley biopic.
"One year ago today I was playing the Sydney Opera House @sydneyoperahouse , the next day started feeling very tired and achy, two days later hospitalized with Covid 19." she wrote alongside a photograph of her and her husband taken shortly before the diagnosis.
“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too,” Hanks explained at the time.
While recovering from the virus, Hanks remained committed to donating his plasma for science.
