Gingerbread kits may be appropriate for the Christmas season, but Trader Joe’s is now making them available for your Thanksgiving festivities.
Trader Joe’s announced that its store is now selling kits that allow you to decorate your own gingerbread cookies shaped like turkeys, Delish reports.
An Instagram account, @Traderjolene, gave foodies a first glimpse of the sweet treats.
The caption reads, “🚨NEW Gingerbread Turkey 🦃 Trot Decorating Cookie Kit. Say bye bye 👋 to the BIG turkey cookie you might have decorated in the past and 👋 Hello to these much cuter, smaller cookies. Will you buy this?”
According to the packaging, the Gingerbread Turkey Trot Cookie Decorating Kits includes four turkey-shaped gingerbread cookies, colorful candies, sprinkles, and icing. Like so many gingerbread kits, the cookies come pre-baked.
This isn't the first time Trader Joe's has gotten crafty with their offerings as the holiday season approaches.

Similarly, just as you would watch a bath bomb dissolve in your hot bath water, the white chocolate snowman dissolves into a delicious and creamy drink after being placed in a mug of warm milk. The Trader Joe’s blog said that the cocoa snowman will “bob and tip, like he’s enjoying a cozy bath… until he starts to melt.”
The store announced that the Hot Cocoa Snowman was available for purchase for just $1.99 each. The cocoa snowman was available for a limited time in the candy section at Trader Joe’s.
