“Twilight” star Taylor Lautner’s fiancée, Tay Dome, was a fan of the series before meeting the actor, but despite her connection to one of the leads in the movies, she didn’t feel comfortable introducing herself to Robert Pattinson during a chance encounter.

Lautner, 29, recently told E! that Dome once sat next to Pattinson on an airplane, but didn’t tell the “Tenet” star that she was dating his former co-star.

“She was visiting me on the set of a TV show I did called ‘Cuckoo’ in London. When she got to me, she was like, ‘you'll never guess who I was sitting next to on the plane,’” Lautner shared.

Dome, a registered nurse, explained that she felt it would have been “so weird” to introduce herself to Pattinson as “Taylor’s girlfriend that no one knows yet.”

No word yet on whether the two will reunite at her and Lautner’s upcoming nuptials, as the pair hasn’t decided whether they are “going to have ten people or two hundred” attend. Guest list aside, Lautner did share that the celebration will feature “a good amount of dancing and partying.”

This month, Lautner told Kelly Clarkson on her talk show that when the “Twilight” movies came out, Dome was firmly on Team Edward.

“Yes, she was,” admitted Lautner, who played Jacob Black opposite Pattinson’s Edward Cullen, after Clarkson showed a photo that Dome posted on social media following her engagement to Lautner. In the picture, a ten-year old Dome can be seen wearing a “Twilight” sweatshirt.

“I'm allowing her to make that mistake,” Lautner laughed. “It's in her past. So, she's good now. But she was not Team Jacob, unfortunately. Still love her!”
