Actress Olivia Munn shared on Wednesday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

In a post on Instagram, Munn said in February 2023, two months before her diagnosis, she had gotten a mammogram done and that the results had been normal.

She added that her OBGYN calculated her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score and discovered Munn’s risk had been at 37%.

“Because of that score I was sent to get an MRI, which led to an ultrasound, which then led to a biopsy,” the actress wrote. “The biopsy showed I had Luminal B cancer in both breasts. Luminal B is an aggressive, fast moving cancer.”

Munn said she got a double mastectomy and has had four surgeries over the past 10 months.

“I’m lucky. We caught it with enough time that I had options,” she said. “I want the same for any woman who might have to face this one day. Ask your doctor to calculate your Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score.”

Munn thanked her doctors and OBGYN as well as her boyfriend, comedian John Mulaney. She and Mulaney have a two-year-old son, Malcolm.
