Considered to be one of the best, if not the greatest Rock n' Roll drummer of all time, late Led Zeppelin beats man John Bonham is finally getting a biography about his life and career with help from another epic musician, Dave Grohl.

On September 7, Hachette Books will reveal Beast: John Bonham And The Rise Of Led Zeppelin, a 384-page book written by music journalist C.M. Kushins, which also includes a foreword by the iconic Foo Fighters frontman and Nirvana drummer.

Bonham was with Led Zeppelin since the very beginning, embarking on numerous tours and debauched excursions with the group throughout the ‘70s. In September of 1980, Bonham, who had been battling alcoholism, anxiety, and the effects of years of excess, was found dead by his bandmates at the age of 32 of pulmonary aspiration.

For those unaware of the incredible style and finesse with which Bonham attacked each and every song, here's an excellent little explainer.
