Actor Orson Bean is dead after a multi-vehicle accident in Los Angeles on Friday night.
The 91-year-old “Being John Malkovich” actor was killed while crossing the street on Venice Boulevard in Los Angeles, reports Page Six.
Bean was struck when “a car coming westbound did not see him and clipped him,” Los Angeles Police Department Captain Brian Wendling told ABC7.
A second vehicle then fatally struck Bean. The driver was “distracted by people trying to slow him down,” Wendling said.
The incident occurred around 7:35pm.
Both drivers remained on the scene. According to reports, investigators believe the crash was an accident.
At the time of his death, Bean was within steps of his destination, the Venice Resident Theatre, where actress Alley Mills, his wife of 27 years, was inside.

Beach was a veteran actor who reached the height of his career in the ’60s and ’70s. In addition to appearing on televised game shows, he's had roles on TV series including “The Twilight Zone,” “Modern Family,” “Desperate Housewives” and “Grace & Frankie.”
Mills, 68, is best known for her role as Norma Arnold, the mother in the coming-of-age series "The Wonder Years."
The two recently performed alongside each other in a Santa Monica play that ended its run last week.
He is survived by Mills and his four children, Michele, Max, Susannah and Ezekiel Bean.
