When it comes to working on new projects in Hollywood, sometimes you have to be sneaky.

Andrew Garfield revealed that he had to keep his role in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” an absolute secret.
In an interview on “Happy Sad Confused,” an Audacy podcast, the 38-year-old said he and fellow “Spider-Man” star Tom Holland had to lie in numerous instances about Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s involvement in the new movie.
However, Garfield is now revealing the time when a taco delivery man almost spoiled the movie.
In January, when Maguire and Garfield were about to join the set, someone on Twitter said they allegedly delivered food to Garfield in Atlanta, Georgia. The delivery driver then sparked rumors after saying he was there to reprise his role as Spider-Man, according to Cinema Blend.
Garfield did confirm the story and shared that the incident took place on his first night in Atlanta before the film started production. “This was my first night in Atlanta and I’m with two of my best friends, one of whom is on 'The Walking Dead,' which shoots out there,” he said. “We’re at the house that they’re putting me up in and I ordered takeout for us.”
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Garfield thought he was careful wearing his face mask. However, the delivery driver asked him to show ID and take down his mask when he ordered.
“This is my first night! I’m like, Oh my god, I’m gonna get rumbled that I’m in Atlanta immediately,” he noted. “Lo and behold, the guy goes like, ‘I think I just delivered food to Andrew Garfield.’”
However, Garfield said something felt “fishy” when asked to remove his mask despite not ordering alcohol.
“I think he called me rude, which I definitely wasn’t,” he added. “I did ask to do social distancing, but I obviously upset the man. I didn’t mean to and I apologize for anything that may have been misconstrued as being rude and I don’t like upsetting people.”
He instead asked his friend to remove the mask, but that didn’t stop the rumors from trickling in.
