Love songs in the time of quarantine provide some much needed relief, which is something Badflower takes to heart.

The band was happy to oblige as the Los Angeles rockers shared a cover of Gerry Rafferty’s “Right Down The Line” telling fans, “we did this for absolutely no reason.”

Badflower recently shared a video of the cover on their YouTube channel featuring Josh Katz and Joey Morrow in the studio. Katz handles the vocals while footage cuts to the two playing various instruments, and showing off great dance moves.

The group took to Twitter shortly after releasing the video sharing their love of covering songs like “Right Down The Line.”

“We write about the darkest most depressing s*** but then cover the happiest songs by Tears For Fears and Gerry Rafferty,” they wrote.

Badflower doesn’t shy away from opening up the discussion on mental health, whether it’s a more joyous occasion like their Gerry Rafferty cover or songs about “the darkest most depressing s***” as mentioned above.

“For us personally, we don’t have any of the answers and we make that very clear in our music and in our interviews that we don’t have the answers to the problems that we suffer from, but we’re certainly loudly talking about it and letting people know that so many other people feel the same way,” Katz told RADIO.COM back in September.

While we wait for Badflower’s follow up to their debut album OK, I’m Sick, fans can look forward their Record Store Day exclusive featuring an acoustic version of their #1 single “The Jester” and a cover of Tears For Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World.”
