Bette Midler's daughter, Sophie Von Haselberg, just got married.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the 33-year-old actress shared a picture of her big day on Instagram. The candid photo shows the new married couple smiling while Haselberg has cake on her face.

She captioned the heartwarming post, where she acknowledged that she was getting married during a troubling time. "Because honestly, WHY NOT. It's great to have cake smeared on your face by someone you love! And hot d--- do I love this man!"

Her mother Midler spoke to the Manila Bulletin, where she gave details about her daughter's wedding. She described it as a small ceremony and shared the behind-the-scenes stories of the special day.

"It was a pandemic wedding, a very small wedding, and her husband, her new husband, hasn't had a haircut in three months," Midler said.

She added that she looked online on how to cut hair and ended up giving her new son-in-law a "pretty good haircut."

Midler has been married to Martin von Haselberg for 36 years. The 74-year-old actress said she is happy to be a mother-in-law and quarantined with the married couple.

She said being together for the past three months has been very lovely, and the family has not had any serious disagreements.

"The First Wives Club" star shared that she thinks Von Haselberg will have a good time with her marriage.
