Sifting through your mom’s closet for the perfect vintage outfit is something many girls have done, but when your mom is a literal movie star, you’re going to find a lot more than an old pair of bellbottoms.

Brooke Shields, 56, recently took to Instagram to share a sweet picture of herself in New York City with her daughter, Rowan Francis, with the 18-year old wearing a strapless red dress that may look familiar to Golden Globes fans.

The actress wore the gown to the 1998 awards, where she was nominated for her role in the NBC sitcom “Suddenly Susan.”

“I thought it was a special night when I was nominated for a Golden Globe and wore this dress in 1998, but nothing could have prepared me to see my daughter wearing it to her prom,” she wrote, before declaring herself a “proud mama!”

Rowan gave the dress a fresh update, choosing to forgo the wrap her famous mom wore on the red carpet and pairing it with a neutral lip and loose waves instead of the Veronica Lake-inspired curls and red lipstick that completed Shields’ ensemble 23 years ago.

Shields’ famous friends congratulated the pair, with actress Ali Wentworth saying they looked like a fire emoji and heart emoji, actress Jill Kargman proclaiming “that’s so cool!”, Danish supermodel Helena Christensen writing “congratulations to your beautiful funny smart girl,” and actress Debra Messing sharing her memories of the 1998 Golden Globes.

“OH MY GOD that is so SPECIAL!!!!! I remember you in that gown that night! And now your beautiful daughter gets to make new memories with it,” said the “Will and Grace” star.
