Buddy Valastro is showing his gratitude in the sweetest way.
The “Cake Boss” star gave thanks to the hospital staff who recently operated on his hand by making a massive “super special cake” in the replica of the medical facility.
“Check out the super special cake I made for Dr. Michelle Carlson, the nurses and staff at @hspecialsurgery as a token of my immense appreciation!," Valastro captioned a post on Instagram.
In the first photo, the 43-year-old shows off his bandaged hand while standing alongside his doctor.
He included several pics of the giant cake which is made in the image of Manhattan’s Hospital for Special Surgery and also features the white lab coat of his doctor and the blue medical scrubs of hospital staff.
“It replicates the main hospital there in #NYC,’’ Valastro added. “I could never thank them enough for all they have done to help me on this journey to a full recovery.”
Upon receiving the delectable gift, the hospital staff expressed their thanks to Valastro.
“That was spectacular,” Dr. Carlson said of his creation on the hospital’s official Instagram account. “To see this beautiful cake that someone has made for you - it really shows they appreciate what you’ve done, and that’s the best there is.”
Valastro’s medical journey began back in September after he suffered a “terrible” bowling accident at his home in New Jersey.
His right hand was impaled by the pinsetter at his home bowling alley.
"I was involved in a terrible accident a few days ago... What do you think of my new accessory?" the owner of famed Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken shared while in the hospital.
The father of four has since made a full recovery.
