Cardi B has just dropped a new track. Her first since February’s "Up," the rapper’s latest single, "Bet It," is the opening track of the soundtrack she helped executive produce along with Halle Berry for the actress’ forthcoming Netflix film, Bruised.
In fact, the entire soundtrack has officially dropped, While the film itself is just days from being released. Along with Cardi’s, bass-heavy trap track, the album also features new songs from some of Hip-Hop and R&B’s current female elite — City Girls, Latto, Rapsody, H.E.R., Saweetie, Flo Milli, Erica Banks, Young M.A, Baby Tate, and more.
Hyped to announce the song and soundtrack's release, Cardi took to IG to share the exciting news, an album trailer featuring her song, and the tracklist. Cardi captioned the post, "The Bruised Soundtrack is finally hereee! I loved working on this with @halleberry and all of the amazing artists that contributed to the soundtrack." She then added "we really making history with this one," tagging all those who are involved.
And if it wasn’t already evident from her “Queen of Hip-Hop” comment (that caused a bit of commotion) earlier this week, Halle’s feeling were mutual, which she shared with an IG post of her own. “Tonight marks history as the music of 'Bruised' is finally available to stream EVERYWHERE! I’m sooo grateful to have co-executive produced what is now officially the first ever all-female hip-hop soundtrack with my friend — the super talented @iamcardib." Halle also tagged the gang of gals involved, exclaiming, “Screaming thank you 💕 to all of the ladies who helped make this project possible.”
