With some exciting recent career moves, Chlöe spoke on a number of topics ranging from her upcoming movie Praise This on streaming platform Peacock, to her debut album In Pieces and it's features from Chris Brown and Future.
The album’s second single, “How Does It Feel” featuring Chris Brown, was released simultaneously with its music video last February. However, Bailey was in hot water with fans and haters alike for the collaboration with Brown, due to his controversial past.
“I always just wanna let the music speak for itself,” Bailey commented on the audience’s response, “and to be honest, no matter what I do people always find things to say about it, so I’m used to it. I just choose to ignore it. People have every right to their opinions, freedom of speech, and it’s up to me to choose what I give my attention and energy to.”
Following the topic, Big Tigger inquired about her collaboration with rapper Future on the song “Cheatback,” the album’s twelfth song and third artist collaboration, which describes getting revenge on an unfaithful spouse.
“I have been cheated on, and I write about it and put it into Pieces,” Bailey said. However, she quickly shot down any ideas that the song was about a true experience of revenge-cheating, saying, “I’m a quite loyal person to be honest with you.”
Listen to the interview and find out what Chloe Bailey considers cheating, how her career goals and faith go hand in hand, and more about her debut album In Pieces.
