Christopher Meloni is all about flaunting his ripped physique.
The 61-year-old actor has revealed he prefers to work out at home rather than at a public gym. And that's probably for the best, because he also disclosed he likes to pump iron completely nude!
While Meloni isn't shy about his racy technique, his wife, Sherman Williams, is not exactly pleased with her husband's exhibitionist side.
"And I don't black out the window," the father of two added. "And I'm okay with that. My wife is not."
Despite her apprehension, the duo will often work up a sweat together even though he prefers to keep to himself.
"We'll hit the gym, but you know, I'm not to be spoken to," he continued. "It's like interrupting a monk when he's in the middle of his monk-ing."
In addition to having to wear clothes, there’s another reason Meloni doesn’t like to workout at regular public gyms.
"People don't put the weights away, and I'm OCD," the extremely fit sexagenarian said. "I'm like, how hard is it [to put them away]?"
When not adding musculature to his buff body, the TV detective has become known for putting the fruits of his labor on display.
Earlier this month, Meloni flexed his legs muscles while on the set of his NBC series by performing a very impressive full split.
The show’s production crew poked a little fun at his excessively limber, ouch-inducing maneuver by filming a hilarious clip of the moment.
The beloved actor has also been crowned the quintessential “zaddy,” a good-looking older gentleman who keeps in shape.
After daring to bare almost all on the cover of Men’s Health, Meloni acknowledged he has been humbled at the newfound attention at this stage of his career.
“The aspect of age comes into play as far as the cover of [this magazine] and how I feel about it,” Meloni shared last year. “A friend of mine said, ‘Did you ever think in a million years you’d be on the cover of Men’s Health?’ I said, ‘Certainly not at age 60.’”
Fans can catch a fully clothed Meloni as “Law & Order: Organized Crime” is set to air its season finale this Thursday at 10pm ET on NBC.
