"I spent a long time handwriting the announcement," Martin told Audacy host Marty Lennartz in a wide-ranging conversation that touched on what Coldplay has in store following the release of “Higher Power.” “We didn’t write just one song in the last two years."
Along with the album announcement comes news that the band is now gearing up to unleash another track, "Coloratura" on Friday, as well as a new single in September. The band also revealed the full album tracklist today - with five of the twelve songs represented by emojis -- as well as the teaser trailer, Overtura.
