Cost to Visit Game of Thrones Locations

Cover Image

We are mere weeks away from the end of Game of Thrones. And while there is a spinoff in the works, the series finale will be the last time we all get to see the breathtaking lands of Westeros and Essos on TV. Fortunately, almost all of those lands are actual places that we can visit in real life.

If you are trying to plan your own Game of Thrones world tour, the folks at travel booking app Hopper priced out tickets to 12 of the show's unbelievably beautiful filming locations around the world that should satisfy your Westerosi obsession, at least until the prequel starts production later this year.

The best deal Hopper found was to Iceland, where you can go north of the wall, for $608 from the US. That's the price even now, after budget Icelandic airline WOW abruptly and surprisingly halted service. On the pricier side there's Ourzazate (Wa-Za-Zat), Morocco where the city of Yunkai awaited liberation from Daenerys. Getting there will set you back nearly $2800, although, even that high price represents a huge 36 percent decrease since last year.

If you want to maximize the number of Thrones locations for a single trip, Hopper suggests a loop around Europe, with stops in Northern Ireland and Scotland, Spain and Croatia (AKA King's Landing).

For ticket prices for all the locations check out the map below and get to booking. There are only four episodes left until the finale on May 19 and you don't want to go into GoT withdrawal.
