After being dropped from several music festivals following homophobic comments he made during his Rolling Loud Miami performance, DaBaby took to social media to joke that he’s leaving Hip Hop and “switching to R&B.”

DaBaby posted a video on his Instagram story of himself singing J. Cole and Miguel’s song “Power Trip” while holding his daughter. “They done canceled yo daddy twin,” DaBaby captioned the clip. “I’m switching to R&B, f*** a rap.”

During his performance at Rolling Loud Miami on July 25, DaBaby told the crowd, "if you didn't show up today with HIV/AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die two/three weeks, put your cellphone light in the air. Ladies, if your p**** smell like water, put your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain't suck a n**** d*** in the parking lot, put your cellphone light in the air."

Since then, he was dropped from the Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Day N Vegas lineups as a result of his comments.

DaBaby issued an apology earlier in August in an Instagram post that’s since been deleted.

"I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made,” he wrote at the time. “Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I knew education on this is important. Love to all. God bless. – DaBaby"
